All of these following players greatly impressed with their play at the Generation Next Tip-Off Tournament. 

Teddy Dana – 2029 – G/F – Hoopademix

Already at a young age, Dana has a nice combination of size and skill standing at 6’ out on the wings with some length too. He is also a well-rounded player that was making plays all over the court throughout the weekend. A versatile defender who showed he can match up with anyone, create for his teammates, knock down some jumpers, and finish around the paint. 

Jayden Jackson – 2029 – F/C – Wisconsin Reps

While the young post made in impact in a variety of ways, his interior defense and energetic play really stood out throughout the tournament. He has good size and strength and really battled defensively on the inside. As well, he was very active offensively battling for position, is an aggressive rebounder, and can put the ball on the floor. 

Christopher Jones – 2029 – G – Illinois Central Elite

Jones impressed with his play on both sides of the ball. With his quickness, he was all over the ball defensively. He was giving opposing guards plenty of issues in multiple games forcing turnovers and disrupting offenses. He also used his quickness on the other end to get all the way to the basket in addition Jones shoots it well from deep. 

Jomaureon Larry – 2029 – PG – Motion Elite

One of the top playmaking point guards of the 13U level. He moves well with the ball in his hands and can quickly burst by defenders to get plenty of paint touches. An up-tempo point that was always pushing the ball looking to make plays for himself or his teammates. Not only did he score it well on the attack but also proved to be a good passer too. Larry is also a tough on ball defender and took a few charges during the tournament. 

Evan Lemons – 2029 – SF – Team M14

Lemons is a long and active wing who showed a versatile game. In a game on Saturday, he scored in the double digits but was just as impactful with everything else he did on the court. With his high energy he played very tough defense defending the ball and blocking shots plus was also a big factor on the glass on both ends. 

Ozjuan McCloud – 2029 – PG – Motion Elite

McCloud was a big key to all the success of Motion Elite advancing to the championship game of the tournament. He has great moves with the ball playing on the attack often getting into the defense and making plays. The shifty guard did most of his damage with his distributing seeing the floor so well and dishing the ball out but also showed a good ability to hit shots off the dribble. 

Caleb Sands – 2029 – C – Illinois Attack

While still nearly two years away from reaching high school, Sands is already 6’5”. In addition to towering over opponents, the post also plays with plenty of energy battling on every possession on both ends of the floor. He is a tough defender who roams the paint well looking to contest every shot. Offensively he was able to finish right through and over defenders, got to the line often, and can also put the ball on the floor.  

Tristen Short – 2029 – G/F – WER1

The wing was a real standout on both sides of the ball and a big piece of this championship WER1 team. With his quickness, athleticism, and length, he proved to be a very tough defender forcing plenty of turnovers. His defensive play was a big game changer in the title game. On the other end he scored it well on the attack getting all the way to the basket as well as creating in the mid-range.
