Championship Sunday did not disappoint. With the titles on the line, there were plenty of standouts throughout the day. Here are a few of the standouts with plenty of more coverage coming this week. 

Jakston Gister – 2028 – G – Wisconsin Lutheran

In the biggest of moments, Gister game through. With Wisconsin Lutheran and Illinois Central Elite locked in a tight battle throughout the entire eight grade championship, the guard found himself in the corner in the final seconds of a tie game. There was no doubt as Gister drilled the corner three to send his team away with the championship. 

Brayden Harris – 2029 – PG – WER1

When it mattered most in the seventh-grade championship game, Harris brought his best game in a highly contested matchup. As well to being a skilled playmaker with the ball, Harris really earned his spot here for his shooting. Throughout the entire championship game, Harris was hitting all his shots from the outside leading the way for the championship win.  

Emmett Kelley – 2030 – G/F – Nicolet Knights

Throughout the tournament, there were plenty of players stepping up to help the Knights to the championship game. In the title game, the high energy play of Kelley was a big piece to help them to the victory. All game, Kelley was all over the court making plenty of plays to win the sixth-grade championship in convincing fashion. 

JuVonta Leach – 2030 – G – TCDA

The stellar play of Leach was a big reason that TCDA was able to make it all the way to the sixth-grade championship game. Especially with his 16-point performance in the semifinals victory. In the semifinals, Leach was both unstoppable knocking down multiple threes as well as taking it strong to the basket. 

Drew Schnurman – 2029 – G – NS Ballerz

The big guard had one of the best performances on Sunday going for 25 points in a quarterfinals victory over a good Wisconsin Lutheran team. Not only did Schnurman come up big with his scoring, but also contributed in nearly every way on the floor in the victory. All game, Schnurman was making plays to lead his team into the semifinals with also his aggressive defense, distributing, and more.
