With the hundreds and hundreds of teams on hand in Louisville this past weekend, there were plenty of players making a name for themselves. Here is part one of the stock boosters for the 17U level at the Grassroots showcase.
Carter Bresser – 2025 – G/F – Kentuckiana Hoops
Bresser is a high energy, lengthy 6’5” wing who contributes in a variety of ways including a 14-point game to finish off the tournament. He showed a good ability going to the basket playing through contact or with his moves with the ball but also contributed just as much with his tough versatile defensive play and rebounding.
Kieran Granville-Britten – 2025 – PF – All Ohio Red
The 6’8” forward had a big performance last month at the Swish N’ Dish and continued that in Louisville. He stands at 6’8” and plays with good strength and aggressiveness to be a dominant player on both ends. Granville-Britten was dominant on the glass grabbing everything near him and battling through opponents for rebounds. He plays with great energy but also shows some good skills with his post moves, passing out of the post, and hitting a few jumpers.
Caiden Hinkle – 2025 – SF – Focus Premier
A 6’5” wing forward who plays with good energy and has a strong build. He uses his strength and physicality to power his way to the basket playing through contact but can also hit shots from the outside. Hinkle has a well-rounded skill set and knows how to play.
Jayden Hunt – 2025 – PG – All In Athletics
A two-way point guard who is a highly impactful player. He has great lateral quickness and has great defensive intensity to be so difficult to beat off the dribble, shutting down opposing guards. Offensively, he has good point guard skills getting into the paint often looking to facilitate and is strong with the ball.
Luka Momcilovic – 2025 – F – Chapman Basketball Academy
Following a strong weekend in Indianapolis, Momcilovic turned it up a level and had himself a tremendous tournament. This included an 18-point game and scoring it effectively all tournament long. In that game he showcased his jumper knocking down five three pointers but also showed good ability to play off the dribble throughout the tournament while standing at 6’6”.
Hudson Omoke – 2025 – SG – MN Comets Elite
The 6’3” wing guard is a high energy playmaker who was all over the court contributing. A tough perimeter defender with his size and athleticism. A versatile scorer who got it done best attacking the basket and pulling up in the mid-range. His scoring and perimeter defense are just the start to what he was doing, as he rebounds well for a guard, blocked shots, and came away with plenty of steals and deflections.
Corey Pittman – 2025 – G – Reach
Pittman continues to show after these two tournaments he is one of the top two-way guards on the 16U level of the NY2LA Association. He continues to impress with his tremendous perimeter defensive play but also scored the ball effectively. A versatile scorer who got it done in a variety of ways with a 14-point game on Saturday.
Quinton Sanders – 2025 – G – Team Temple
One of a few players to see on this deep and talented 2025 Team Temple with all the different things he can do on the floor. He plays well both on and off the ball as he can run the point, driving to distribute but also shoots it well spotting up from three. A very tough on ball defender with his quickness too.
Rayshaun Smith – 2025 – G – Indy EBC
A highly impactful player on both ends of the floor who was a real standout with his defensive play. He has great quickness and gets all over the ball forcing turnovers and disrupting opposing offenses. Smith also scored it consistently throughout the tournament with games of 20 and 16 points.
Preston Wade – 2025 – PF – Team Mookie
Wade is a 6’7” mobile forward with tremendous length who can cover so much ground. He is a tough and versatile defender who can shut down the paint but also defend out on the perimeter. In his final game of the tournament, he showed an emerging offensive game scoring 14 points.
