Throughout the Generation Next Tip-Off, there was some exciting games with plenty of talented teams. While there were many candidates for this list, here are the players to earn the all-tournament honors for the 13U level.
Ethan Chan – 2028 – SF – LVL Elite
For a player who is still a couple years out from high school, there is so much to like about the wing forward’s game with all he can do on the floor. As well to having a well-rounded skill set, Chan plays with good energy on the floor. With his versatile scoring ability and doing a bit of everything else on both ends to help LVL into the 13U semifinals. He plays very active on the defensive end, was aggressive on the glass, and scored attacking the basket as well as hitting some jumpers.
Tyler Chlan – 2028 - G – Kessel Heat
Behind the play of Chlan, Kessel Heat made an impressive run all the way to the championship game while always playing at a high level. He came up big in the semifinals scoring 19 points. Chlan plays so well on the attack as he scored the ball extremely well getting to the basket but also made some nice passes on the move. The guard beats defenders well with his quickness but also his toughness. More than driver, Chlan also hit some shots from the outside off the dribble and catch.
Christian Hughes – 2028 – G – Region Force
One of two member of this championship Region Force team to make their way onto this list. With his shooting ability, Hughes was one of the top scorers at the 13U level of the tournament. He had multiple big games, including when it mattered most in the title game scoring 19 points while hitting a whopping five three pointers. While at his best spotting up from deep, Hughes can also handle the ball and run the point.
Jason Susdorf – 2028 – PG – Region Force
Susdorf was one of the most skilled and electric playmakers of the entire tournament. He moves extremely well with the ball in his hands and can get wherever he wants on the floor with his quickness and handle. The point guard plays well in space as well as coming off screens. While he is a skilled scorer with his ability to get into the paint and hit shots off the dribble from the outside, he also a very skilled distributor with his vision and decision making.
Ethan Vahl – PG – 2028 – Prime Time
After winning MVP of the Generation Next All-Star Camp recently, Vahl continued to play at a high level all tournament long as one of the top two-way guards at the 13U level. He has some size and length in the backcourt and with his quickness was just getting all over opposing guards pressuring the ball and disrupting offenses. Offensively, he moves very well with the ball just gliding past defenders into the paint often. Vahl scored it very effectively on the attack but is also an unselfish guard that always looked to get his teammates involved.
