The NY2LA Futures Camp has a long history of elite talent. Past participants of the camp include Patrick Baldwin Jr, Tyler Herro, Semi Ojeleye, Jabari Parker, Jalen Suggs and plenty of others. Don’t be surprised to see some of this year’s participants included in that illustrious alumni group in the years to come.
Part one of 2025 All Camp Selections consisted of Sharod Barnes, Clevon Easton, Myles Herro, Jeremiah Johnson, Trey McKenney, and Xzavion Mitchell. Here are the final six freshman picks from the camp.
Antonio Munoz – 2025 – Whitney Young HS – G/F
Munoz, who is one of the top freshmen in Illinois, had a strong showing throughout the camp. The 6’5” wing has good length and great athleticism to contribute big in a variety of ways. With all his tools he is a true stat stuffer that has plenty of upside. The talented freshman already holds a scholarship offer from Illinois.
Drew Murphy – 2025 – Verona Area HS – G/F
The strong and energetic 6’5” wing did plenty on the floor but impressed the most with his scoring ability. Murphy is a knockdown shooter that hit half of his threes during the camp but also made plenty of plays off the dribble. For just a freshman he has an advanced skill set with good feel for the game.
Trevor Polite – 2025 – Homestead HS – G/F
Polite was one of the better shooters of the 2025 group. The skilled wing has a smooth jumper and just wasn’t missing when spotting up from the perimeter. Polite has some size at 6’5” as well to having good length. More than just a shooter though Polite is a tough and versatile defender, has good instincts, and distributes the ball well.
Andrew Rader – 2025 – Notre Dame Academy – F/C
As well to being named to this All-Camp list, Rader also won the Big Man Award for the 2025 group of players. Even as just a freshman he already stands at 6’8” with a strong build. He is an aggressive post that battles hard in the paint on both ends of the floor. He scored the ball very effectively inside as well to protecting the paint well on the other end.
Anthony Rise – 2025 – Brookfield Central HS – G
Rise was one of the top players on the GNBA with RAS this past season and continued that high level of play here. He is a dynamic guard that is very gifted playing with the ball in his hands. He moves extremely well with the ball and proved to be incredibly difficult to defend off the dribble. With his speed and shiftiness, Rise was able to get create for himself from the outside as well to getting to the basket. He has a great ability to turn it up a level and proved that while scoring 24 points in a single game while shooting 6-8 from beyond the arc.
Ross Robertson – 2025 – South Beloit HS – F
Robertson is a tough and very active power forward that contributed in a variety of ways throughout the camp. Not only did he lead the freshman group in blocks but was also one of the top rebounders at the camp. He plays well in the paint on both ends but also stepped out to show a good stroke from the perimeter.
