Here are ten players from the Wisconsin Spring Showdown that helped their recruitment over the weekend. While the list includes prospects many levels of colleges, they are all defiantly players that college coaches will want to know.
Ethan Criter – 2023 – G – WI Blizzard
Criter showed off nice point guard skilled throughout the weekend. He is very strong with the ball in his hands and handles pressure well. Plus, he is a good quick decision maker that was always a step ahead of the defense making plays. Criter has a good ability to get to the basket or score in the mid-range in addition to being a strong passer.
Sam Coulthard – 2023 – G – WI Crusaders
The 6’1” sophomore can really shoot the basketball while spotting up from the perimeter. He moves very well without the basketball and showed good shot selection not forcing any shots. Coulthard can get his shot off quickly and was knocking them down in bunches over the weekend.
Finley Deischer – 2023 – G – WI Dynasty
Deischer is a very skilled and crafty guard that knows how to play. He won’t wow you with any one ability, but just has a good overall skill set and is a high IQ guy. He has good handle with the basketball, is a good decision maker, shoots the ball well from all over, and is a skilled passer. He contributes in a number of ways on the offensive ends and makes everyone around him better.
Dylan Emer – 2023 – G – ABC Young Lions
The guard showed a great ability to knock down the three ball. Emer can really shoot it and hits them off the catch and dribble. He has great form on his jumper and showed good shot selection. As well, he plays with a big motor and is always the first to the floor and just outworks his opponents.
Gavyn Hurley – 2023 – G – WI Swing
A lengthy 6’4” guard who plays well on both sides of the basketball. He scores the ball effectively attacking the basket and can also hit the three, but his biggest impact may have come on the defensive end. With his size and length plus ability to stick with ball handlers, he can really shut down opposing guards and wings.
Antwan Jones – 2023 – G – JH1 Elite
The highly skilled 6’2” point guard has a good ability to score as well as facilitate the basketball. He is a versatile scorer that gets it done from all three levels. Jones is strong with the ball in his hands, shoots it at a high percentage but is also able to get to the basket often. He has good vision and always knows where to go with the ball.
Keenan Klitzke – 2023 – F – WI Blizzard
Klitzke is a lengthy 6’6” forward that contributed in plenty of ways over the weekend. He scored the ball effectively around the basket posting up, on put backs, and dump offs, but possibly made his biggest contribution on the other end. He did a very good job of defending the paint in addition to being a very tough rebounder. A forward to track moving forward.
Sekou Konneh – 2024 – F – Team Haliburton
A highly intriguing 6’7” forward with his great length and skills. While he played very well in the paint on both ends of the floor blocking shots and scoring inside, he can do much more. Konneh showed a good ability to also play facing up to the basket with his skills taking opposing forwards off the dribble plus hitting some jumpers. Definitely a name for college coaches to track.
Collin Madson – 2023 – G – WI RAP
Madson is a good all-around guard that was shooting the ball lights out from three over the weekend. The 2023 guard moves well without the basketball, has a quick release, and showed the ability to hit tough contested jumpers. On the defensive side he plays with great energy to defend his man out on the perimeter.
Adison Mittelstadt – 2023 – G – Movement Hoops Elite
A skilled and crafty guard that has continued to impress this spring season with his play and scoring ability. He is a very effective player when attacking the basket with his nice shifty moves. Mittelstadt moves well with the ball to get into the paint often and finish plus is smart passer on the drive. He can read the defense and knows when to kick it out or get to the hoop.
