In addition to the top performers and stock boosters, here are several other players that came to play and impressed at the Wisconsin Spring Showdown this past weekend.
Andrew Baumgart – F – 2024 – WI Blizzard
A tough forward with some strength that plays with tremendous energy to be all over the floor making plays. He scored the ball well around the basket and can really finish through contact. Baumgart has a good ability to defend all over, and really works on that end to shut down his man and does a nice job of getting all over the ball.
Jack Daugherty – F – 2024 – Phenom University
The emerging forward was outstanding at times this past weekend. He has the ability to stretch the floor, he runs the floor well and can finish at the rim, and his instincts and feel are advanced. He moves well without the ball and overall has the instincts, skill, and potential size to develop into an excellent prospect. He was a big part of their championship run this weekend.
Nick Janowski – G – 2024 – Phenom University
Janowksi is a talented and playmaking point guard that can score in bunches but also distribute the ball nicely. He is strong with the ball in his hands plus has a good ability to create his own shot. Janowski also shoots it well off the dribble with range but also passes the ball well on the move to create for his teammates.
Jaden McKellips – F – 2024 – Chapman Basketball Academy
McKellips is a tough 6’4” forward with good length. He scored the ball very effectively around the basket but can also spot up and hit some jumpers from three. Though is biggest contribution may have been on the defensive end, as he is able to guard multiple positions very well. He moves well for his size and with his length plus big motor can guard nearly anyone well.
Peyton McKenna – G – 2024 – Chapman Basketball Academy
A versatile guard who did a lot on the floor but made his biggest impact with his shooting ability. He has great form on his jumper spotting up from three and moves well without the ball to get good looks at the basket for himself. McKenna is a smart guard that knows how to play and really works on the defensive end.
Miles Silas – F – 2024 – WI Crusaders
A strong forward with a solid frame that has good game on both sides of the floor. Silas plays with good energy to outwork the opposition and grab every rebound around him. Plus, the freshman showed some good scoring ability hitting some shots spotting up from three as well scoring while playing with his back to the basket.
