With all the talent in Indianapolis, one article was just not enough. Here is the next group of top performers from the 17U level.
London Maiden - 2022 - C - Hoop City Ohio
A tough 6’8” post with a strong build that performed well inside on both ends of the floor. Maiden scored it on a high percentage of his touches on the block posting up. He used his strength well to just overpower defenders and score though them at the basket. The junior did a good job as a help defender inside blocking the shots of multiple drivers at the basket.
Grant Newell - 2021 - F - Mac Irvin Fire
The 6’7” forward is one of the best unsigned seniors remaining in the Midwest. Newell plays with great energy and contributed in a number of ways. He is a ferocious rebounder that goes hard to the glass on every shot to grab anything near him. Plus, is a strong finisher around the basket through contact that dunks everything but can also stretched the floor and hit some threes spotting up.
Trey Pettigrew - 2022 - PG - Mac Irvin Fire
A highly skilled point guard that scores and distributes the ball both at a high level. The athletic point guard gets to the rim extremely well but also has a good jumper to knock down threes. On the attack, the does a very good job creating for his teammates and is a skilled passer in traffic that can thread the needle.
Greyson Pritzl - 2022 - G - WI RAP
A talented all-around guard with size at 6’4” that does everything well and is a smart player. Not only did Pritzl shoot the ball well from three of the catch and dribble, but also showed his skills handling the ball, creating for his teammates with great passes, and defending well out on the perimeter.
Kentrell Pullian - 2021 - G - UTS Elite
Pullian is a highly skilled scorer who can get it done from all over. He has good handle along with his great quickness to get to the rim in a hurry and finish there often. The senior also shoots it so well off the dribble with range to score it in bunches.
Phil Ragan - 2022 - PG - Reach Legends Elite
Ragan is a skilled driver that is extremely quick off the dribble to get by defenders and create. While attacking he scored it well around the basket and mid-range in addition to distributing it out. He made some terrific passes while on the move plus has a good looking shot off the dribble.
Jaden Schutt - 2022 - G - Illinois Wolves
Schutt is one of the most gifted scorers around and can get it done in a number of ways. The 6’5” guard is a high-level shooter that hits threes in bunches and also added buckets pulling up in the mid-range and showed some bounce finishing at the rim. One of the top 2022 guards in all of the Midwest.
Josh Terrian - 2022 - G/F - JH1 Elite
Terrain is a strongly built 6’4” guard/forward. In his first game of the tournament the junior was scoring it in bunches, knocking down several threes spotting up with a good stroke in addition to going to the basket strong and finishing well in traffic. He uses his strength well to simply overpower defenders to get to the basket as well to playing tough defense.
Javon Tracy - 2022 - G - George Hill All-Indy
Tracy showed off good point guard skilled throughout the weekend. He is strong with the ball in his handles and can really handle ball pressure as well to being a very skilled passer with a good ability to create shots for his teammates. The junior has good quickness with the ball and hist some shots from three and in the mid-range too. Tracy has good lateral quickness on the defensive side and showed that he is very tough to beat off the dribble.
Camden Tyner - 2022 - G - Cream City Chosen Southeast
The 6’3” guard moves extremely well with the basketball to be able to create his own shot. He is especially good in the mid-range at creating separation and quickly rising up to his shots often. Tyner showed that he is a knockdown shooter when he gets into the mid-range.
