This weekend saw the return of the NY2LA Sports Futures Camp as some of the top players in the classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023 from throughout the Midwest.   As we get geared up for the upcoming prep season let’s take a look at handful of some of the top standouts from this past Saturday…

Note – This is not an exclusive list

Tyrese Hunter – 2021 – PG – Racine St. Catherines (WI)
Arguably the top player overall, Hunter has always been able to get to the rim at will.  He showed off an improved perimeter shot to match Saturday and earned CO-MVP honors.  Hunter will be judged on his ability to make plays when the game slows down and he showed that he has been putting in the work to do just that.  He is clearly an ascending talent.

Amar Augillard – 2021 – F – Zion-Benton (IL)
Aguilard has always been a premier athlete on the wing and with a nonstop motor the production on Saturday was high level.   Slashing and finishing at the rim, the 2021 wing was named CO MVP.  No one played harder on Saturday.

Seth Trimble – 2022 – PG – Menomonee Falls (WI)
Trimble has really elevated his game and was one of the top guards in attendance.  His playmaking ability was evident and he brought a motor that stood out.

Learic Davis – 2022 – SF – Milwaukee Bradley Tech (WI)
The upside with this wing from Milwaukee jumped out at you.  Davis had numerous breakaway dunks and even finished in traffic.  In a camp setting like this Davis and his ability to get out on the break and be active on the glass shows extremely well.

Rasean McMiller – 2021 – SG – Rich Central (IL)
The scoring guard from Chicago imposed his will on the NY2LA futures camp.  His always on attack approach was evident and I look for him to have a huge year scoring the basketball.   McMiller is efficient and was effective mid-range and at the cup.  One of the better competitors I’ve seen this year.
