MEQUON, Wis. – The NY2LASports Spring Extravaganza wrapped up Sunday with NY2LA Association teams taking the court one last time in front of college coaches. Some players continued their strong play and a few others broke out with performances that caught our eye. Here are just a few of the standouts.

PJ Edwards – 2020 – G – Illinois Irish Select
PJ Edwards was again in his bag on Sunday. He led his Illinois Irish Select team to another victory while dropping 21 points. He has the physical tools you look for and his production this weekend matched that. Making shots consistently Edwards has established himself as one of the top players on the NY2LA Association.
Ahmeer Cossom – 2020 -F – Motor City Grizzlies
Cossom is an ultra-athletic wing who plays for the Motor City Grizzlies. Getting out in transition Cossom led his team with 22 points on Sunday. His motor runs hot and his effort was on full display in his team’s win. Cossom caught my eye on Friday night and was consistently the guy who played harder than anyone on the court and his production reflected that. The Detroit Native is an intriguing wing to watch.
Braden Podziemski – 2021 –G/F –WI RAP
Playing up for the WI RAP Program, Poziemski picked up where he left off during the NY2LA Swish ‘N Dish tournament. He was active all weekend and showed an impressive skill set in the mid-range. He dropped 15 on Sunday in a win and should be a target of colleges in July.
Max Klesmit –2020 – G – WI Blizzard Kuranda
Following up his Saturday night explosion Klesmit came back Sunday with 27 points and is firmly on the radar of colleges throughout the Midwest. The big guard showed a wonderful stroke and played with great pace Sunday.
Trevion Labeaux– 2021 – G – All Iowa Attack
Labeaux took the court on Sunday and went down the lane off the pick and roll and hammered one home. It was a sign of things to come as the athletic guard consistently attacked the rim Sunday morning and showed bounce that is allows him to finish at the rim. The Waterloo native was terrific finishing with 13 points and leading his squad to a win Sunday.
Baylor Hebb – 2020 – G – 3D Empire
What do you do when you drop 48 and the gym is buzzing? If you’re Baylor Hebb you come back Sunday and put up 28 while showing off other parts of your game. Less than 12 hours after knocking down 7 threes Hebb led 3D empire to a win Sunday by showing off a mid-range and variety of pull ups. The guard is much more than just a shooter. Bottom line his effort this weekend is going to make coaches take notice.
Carson Parker – 2020 –G – Illinois Bears
Parker is a 6-5 guard from Nashville Community HS who was outstanding Sunday for the Illinois Bears. Dropping 25 points in a win he showed off a skill set that had many colleges in attendance taking note. For a big guard he has a lot of upside and should be a name to watch this summer.
Nate Shockey – 2020 –G – Breakaway Basketball
Shockey is the other member of the Breakaway backcourt who consistently brought his game to the court on the opening weekend. Scoring and distributing, he showed excellent decision making all session and led his team Sunday with 11 points while setting up everyone and running his team. With Daron Hall this team is going to be tough as we move into July.
Tommy Moore III – 2020 – SYF Players
Moore was fantastic thru 4 games for SYF and may be the next to come out of the program known for producing talented guards. On Sunday the MI native led his team to a win dropping 18 points. That followed up an 18 point effort on Saturday which was also a win. Moore showed a great feel for when to score and picked his spots.
